Fillings are a common treatment for tooth decay or broken teeth. Problems can occur when acid weakens the tooth structure, resulting in bacterial infiltration and dental decay or ‘caries’. This will only get worse unless treated, which is one reason why regular check-ups are so important.
Sometimes, damaged teeth can lead to problems with the pulp (nerve and blood vessels). This will commonly result in toothache and eventually an infection. In this case your tooth can often be saved with a root canal treatment, where the affected pulp is removed and the canal is cleaned and sealed with a filling to the tip of the root.
We offer whitening, which is often used along side straightening, for a dazzling smile. Teeth whitening is the only way to actually lighten the natural shade of your teeth without removing any of the tooth structure. It improves the brightness and appearance of your smile, resulting in a healthy, maintainable result.
We want to assist you in achieving the smile and appearance you dream of. It might be one tooth that is bothering you, or you might need a whole smile makeover. Our dentists will provide a consultation and discuss various options with you for improving your smile, such as porcelain veneers, composite bonding, and crowns and bridges.
We also offer facial aesthetic treatments carried out by a qualified and experienced dentist, Dr Lucy Giles. She qualified from the University of Liverpool in 2009 and has since completed a Masters in Aesthetic Medicine. She offers a wide range of treatments such as fillers and anti-wrinkle treatments.
